When basic Flood insurance is not enough, our Excess Flood insurance solutions step in for your clients.

Snyder Specialty:

Serving Retail Agents throughout the Tri-State Area & Pennsylvania

Coverage through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and private Flood insurance is often not nearly enough to insure your clients’ properties on or near the coast. The NFIP only provides up to $250,000 of coverage on the structure, and private Flood Insurance typically also caps limits up to a certain amount, which fall short particularly for high-value coastal homes.

Managing General Agency and Surplus Lines Broker Snyder Specialty, LLC provides a market for Excess Flood insurance – from homes located on Long Island and Staten Island to the Jersey Shore, Mystic, Westport and Old Saybrook, and many other coastal communities up and down the shorelines of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Excess Flood insurance extends the coverage available through the NFIP or private flood carriers. Coverage begins where these programs leave off. If a client has $250,000 of structure coverage through the NFIP and the limits are exhausted after a loss, the Excess Flood policy will kick in up to the policy amount purchased. Contents coverage is also available with our Excess Flood program.

Program Features

  • Limits up to $2,000,000 available
  • Coverage can include buildings and contents
  • Replacement Cost available on buildings and contents
  • Risk individually underwritten with tailored limit and terms
  • Competitive rates
